Graduating Residents Recognize Faculty, Anesthesia Techs
In recognition of an outstanding faculty, the Department of Anesthesiology residents presented the Resident Teaching Award to two faculty members June 8. Bhiken Naik and Stephen Collins will share the honors for 2012.
The more advanced residents, the CA-2 and CA-3 groups, chose Bhiken I. Naik. Dr. Naik came to our department two years ago from the University of Florida, where he completed a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine in 2004. The CA-0 and CA-1 residents chose Stephen R. Collins. Dr. Collins graduated from the residency program in 2009 and joined the department as an attending in January, 2010. Both Dr. Naik and Dr. Collins distinguished themselves quickly as exceptional teachers and we look forward to many more years working with them.

Kristi Rose, outgoing chief resident, sums it up: "it's difficult to choose just one faculty member for the award as everyone here does a phenomenal job and is so instrumental in the success of us as residents. It has been a pleasure working with all of you." |
The residents named Matt Cobb as the Outstanding Anesthesia Tech for 2012.
Congratulations and sincere thanks to all of these hard-working folks.
