Offices in the Old Medical School (Steele Wing)

The Anesthesiology Department administrative offices, Chair's office, Residency office, and Department Library are located on the fourth floor of the Steele Wing of the Old Medical School. On the map above, the Old Medical School is #24.  Our offices are just to the right of the 24 on the map.

The Old Medical School building is on Hospital Drive, the first building on your left immediately after passing through the Honor Gate.  Come up the steps to enter on the third floor.  (Handicap accessible entrance is on the second floor by the Eye Clinic.)  Take elevator or stairs up one flight.  On Four, go up the ramp, through the door, and you are on the Anesthesiology office wing.

From the OR, take the second floor link to the West Complex.  Follow directions to the Eye Clinic, but take stairs or elevator to fourth floor just before the end of the corridor.  On Four, go up the ramp, through the door, and you are on the Anesthesiology office wing.

Additional offices in the OR area

Anesthesiology has some offices and a conference room in University Hospital, near the OR suite.  The Anesthesiology Conference Room is #2974.  From the patient/staff West elevators, exit on the second floor, turn left and the room is immediately on your right. On the map above, University Hospital is the large building shaped like the letter W, above #31.  

Parking

There are several parking lots and garages on University Avenue convenient to our offices, as well as some 2-hour meters and unmetered spots on the street.  There are two Medical Center parking garages.  If you are a patient or visiting a patient, you can park in the Lee St. garage (#11) and your parking can be validated in the lobby of the main hospital.  If the Department of Anesthesiology has agreed to validate your parking, you must park in the Eleventh St. garage (#39).  From that location, you can easily reach the administrative offices by walking along Main/University Avenue or the hospital offices by walking through the Lee St. garage to the hospital.
