Bradley E. Haws is the Senior Associate Dean and Chief Administrative Officer of the University of Virginia School of Medicine.

Brad joined the UVA Physicians Group in 2004 and began his dual role in 2007.

While he retains his leadership role as CAO at the SOM, since Oct 2010, Brad has been the Chief Executive Officer of the University of Virginia Physicians Group, which is an independent 501 (c) (3) corporation that supports the clinical faculty practice at the University of Virginia.

In this combined role, he oversees the operational and financial operations of the faculty of the UVA School of Medicine. His responsibilities include clinical strategy and operational management, financial and strategic planning, human resource management, research administration, information systems, facilities management, billing and collections management and third party contracting.

Prior to joining the University of Virginia, Brad spent 13 years with Intermountain Healthcare, Inc. (IHC) in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the founding CFO of a 500 physician group that started from scratch as PMI of the IHC integrated delivery system. As a corporate strategy, the physician employment model was started in 1994 and the group grew to over 400 physicians in less than 2 years. The start-up and integration efforts needed to make that venture successful were a great opportunity and provided many learning opportunities for the management group.

Prior to his role with the employed physician group, he spent 4 years in the IHC corporate office as part of the financial and strategic planning group. Brad holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Business Administration from Brigham Young University.
